#VillageReview I’m so grateful to be a part of this community. My nesting party this past Saturday was such a wholesome, refreshing, and healing experience. I had very little help preparing for my first two babies and went through the most of my pregnancy thinking it would be the same experience. But God is always on time and each person involved on Saturday was a blessing to me! Thank you Conola K Ali for putting this together, mopping and sweeping, organizing, and cleaning! Eileen Lulu I appreciate all the help with laundry and I hope you enjoyed the bagels! Olivia Jay the food was sooooo good! Jaimesethank you for the baby bottles and sorry I never got the chance to respond to your text message. Nia Carter it was so nice speaking with you! Thank you for cleaning the fridge, the doula services, and sharing your med school experiences with me! I learned so much! If anyone needs a doula I highly recommend her! Aishah Roberts We appreciate you picking up and dropping the food off for us! My good sis Matou also joined us and helped with bottles and organizing baby clothes. & shoutout to my husband for also supporting us. In his words he was happy to see me socializing with other moms. He’s an official unofficial group member now btw Everything went so well and the baby came this morning! There was no way I would have finished everything in time for her arrival. I’m really looking forward to pouring back into this community after I’ve recovered.
NaimaJust want to share my experience this morning with my first pantry hopping delivery. As I am mostly homebound with a difficult pregnancy and mobility issues, was kind enough to stop by the 'Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green' for my family and delivered some much appreciated boxes of food
Jennifer G. RubenI had the most enjoyable day learning how to put a zipper in from Ann! Not only is she a patient teacher and talented seamstress, she is also just extremely interesting to talk to! I am not sure if we are supposed to review things like skill sharing but if we are then my #villagereview is that you should find a way to spend time with Ann. She and I are thinking it might be fun to do a village crafting get together/group! This year has been a lot but I’m so glad I’ve found my people! #VillageReview
Thank you to Tiffany for lending me some leather working tools! I had a sentimental vintage bag that was no longer functional but that my heart wouldn't let me throw away. It was over $600 to repair which wasn't in the budget! I wanted to take something sentimental and make some things from it I could keep and use but had zero tools or skills 🤣 Tiffany lent me a tool to add snaps to leather. Being able to borrow tools gave me the shove to try and to learn something new. (The number of hours that went into this small project was insane but I learned so much about leather glue, sealing, adding snaps, sewing, so now I've got plans and dreams 🙂). #VillageReview
Thank you Lauren for talking with me on the phone and giving me some great tips and advice on how to conquer and overcome my fear and anxiety with driving. Knowing that I’m not alone has made me feel better and you taking the time to help me learn new tips and techniques hasn’t gone unnoticed. #VillageReview
I am so happy to have found this community and can’t wait until I can pay it forward! Gotta give Conola K Ali a huge shout out for doing my hair yesterday She worked tirelessly to retwist my locs so I wouldn't look dusty for this Christmas holiday. I loved connecting with you and can't say thank you enough!! Feeling cute and confident for the first time in this pregnancy #villagereview
OliviaI just ate my last salad! We planned it together, prepped 10 fresh lunches, and split them. 🥗🥗 Not only did we save money and eat healthier, but we created a new rhythm of support, intention, and ease during the week. ✨ This is what TheVillage is about—reminding us that we don’t have to carry every task alone. Sometimes a shared bowl of salad can become the start of shared relief, better habits, and community in action. #VillageReview
I have to thank Marla for stopping for Imani Powell and I Friday night. We got off the last train and were not sure how we would have gotten home. For some strange reason, I can't tag you. But THANK YOU. You didn't have to but you did in true Village Mate fashion. Thanks for joining our community and completing your first "task" of driving us to a safe destination I'll tag @everyone and hope you see this. #VillageReview
Conola#VillageReview Happy Thanksgiving Everyone Taking a moment to wish Meredith Mejia and Jonathan Mejia a blessed and wonderful holiday with much gratitude for dropping off our complete Thanksgiving dinner from the township! I physically couldn't go to pick up the bundle, but Mr. Mejia was kind enough to wait in line to pick up everything then drive to our place for drop off Hoping to repay the favor back soon, but in the meantime I am praying for peace, joy, and laughter to fill your home, God bless you both
Olivia#villagereview I must give gratitude and a review for Meredith Mejia and her husband jonathan for stepping in to watch my children yesterday from 11-5p as I hosted our galentines, giggles and glitter event. She kept me updated, sent me pics, made sure they were fed, entertained and overall cared for in my absence.
ConolaVillage Care review! I’m so grateful for this group! I have to personally thank Conola, Meredith and Latasha for helping me clear out my basement of a bunch of stuff. A task that had felt so overwhelming for over half a year. Latasha helped me with organizing a bunch of items, Meredith was great with clearing out anything that needed to go, and Conola helped ensure that all the items I was parting with went to good hands. #villagereview
