TheVillage Guidelines

"do unto others as you want done to you."

Be Yourself

To ensure that our community remains diverse and inclusive, we request that each person joins us as a Village Mate on an individual basis, rather than representing a company. This approach allows us to foster a sense of community where everyone can share their unique perspectives and ideas. By joining as an individual, you will have the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life and engage in meaningful conversations that can lead to personal growth and development. We believe that each person has something valuable to contribute and we look forward to welcoming you as a Village Mate.

Commit Your Time

Every Village Mate is requested to dedicate a minimum of 8 hours per week to fulfill their service obligations. This commitment ensures that everyone contributes to the improvement and success of TheVillage. Any exceptions to this requirement whether the committed time is more or less than 8 hours must be agreed upon by Village Mates within their Village. Additionally Village Mates should have a verbal and written agreement to avoid possible incompliance or misunderstandings.

Join Your Neighborhood Village

Join the community in which you live. Joining more than one group may or may not be available depending on the rules set by each group. Exceptions can be made for special situations. If you live between two locations, you should join the group for which you spend the most time. If your membership includes individuals that live between two locations, adjustments will be made accordingly. The villages you create are meant to be long-lasting. Switching between two locations more often than not suggests that you are not reliable for a long period of time. In many cases, if you move, you must request to join a new Village community group and leave the other. If you don't follow this, you risk being denied entry. To be on the safe side, it's best to communicate to your Community Developer that you plan to leave and join another location. Also, when requesting to join, add this information in the comments section of your group application.

Bring Your Family

Each membership provides platform access for a family, with a maximum of 2 adults. The enrollment process includes recording the details of each adult family member. Minors can take part with parental approval, but only parents are allowed to post on their behalf. A family Membership necessitates a primary account holder, who is the only one permitted to post in the group on behalf of their family.

Develop Village Trust

In order to foster a strong sense of community, it is crucial for Village Mates to spend quality time together and build trust. This can be achieved by engaging in activities that promote open communication and mutual understanding. It's important to take the initiative to get to know each other on a personal level and learn about each other's values and beliefs. This will help everyone respect each other's boundaries and avoid misunderstandings. By investing time and effort in building relationships with one another, Village Mates can create a supportive and safe environment where everyone can thrive.

Be Creative

To enhance the resources of your village, you can apply creative ideas, tools, and experiences that can help you achieve your goals. There are numerous ways to expand your village's resources, such as collaborating with neighboring villages to share their resources, investing in modern technology to improve productivity for certain tasks, and training the villagers with new skills that can help them contribute to the village's growth. By implementing these strategies, you can create a sustainable and thriving community that can provide a better quality of life for everyone. Remember, the more resources you have, the more opportunities you can create for your village to prosper. The more, the merrier. More always equals more.

Keep it legal

It's important that we prioritize legal compliance and safety within TheVillage community. We want to ensure that every member feels secure and protected while they're here. To achieve this, we must avoid any activity that could potentially lead to legal trouble or harm to ourselves or others. Please refrain from engaging in any behavior that could endanger the well-being of others or violate any laws or regulations. We value our members and want to make sure they feel comfortable and confident in their participation in TheVillage.

Have Consideration

It is important to remember that nobody is perfect, so we should try to be understanding of others. Just like any other relationship, it's important to consider compromise and evaluate how important someone is to us before deciding to end the relationship unnecessarily or over things that can be forgiven or overlooked. We should always try to find ways to say yes and work things out.
